SEO - First Attempts at Keyword Sniping and Search Engine Ranking Page (SERP) - Part 1
I am breaking in and trying keyword sniping to see if I can make some money
with affiliate marketing and/or adsense. I have some ideas on this now
and I have a friend running a business that is local in nature but he wants
to grab some Internet traffic. Here is the initial strategy I gave him. He
is interested in selling wine cellars.
Get 10 articles written of 300-500 words from one of the online guru sites,
I am using ODESK currently. First, find keywords that will
draw in the people that would want your product.
Use http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/ for keyword ideas and
make sure that the wordtracker score for the keyword is greater than 200.
Also, try and choose long tail keywords that have 3-5 words in them. Ex
“California Organic Farm” as opposed to “Organic Farm”.
Now take the keywords you have found and search google and put the the
full keyword in double quotes “California Organic Farm”. You want google
to have less than 10,000 results. Find 10 keywords that pass this
test.
Next have your person that you interviewed, reviewed past work and hire
them to write the articles. Give them an outline for the articles. Maybe
7-8 ideas to throw in it and have them throw your keyword into it about
3-5 times. So 10 keywords = 10 articles. They can use the net for
research but no direct copying!
Pay them $3-5 per article. Do this as a one shot deal, not per hour.
This will put you back $50. Now take another $50 and put it towards
submission services. This part is more vague. These 10 articles needs to
be submitted to article directories and your site needs to be submitted to
website directories. I am happy to help you do all of this as I have an
interest in understanding what works and what doesn’t.
Start by finding your 10 keywords.
